  11. This is my first attempt at a story this is part 1 of the bonding...
  12. Any comments would be appreacited... And I would like to know what what you
  13. think of the names and if you could help me find some diagrams and info on ships
  14. and aliens...

  24. Captains log: Stardate 43984.33

  26. I captain Greg Kramer have assumed command of the U.S.S. Tristar and am now in
  27. route to pickup my new first officer, Commander Dolean... He has been with
  28. Starfleet for 14 years and has been serving aboard the U.S.S. Mohan for 6 years.
  29. Commander Dolean is a Romulan who defected due to persecution for his wife who
  30. was human.  After his defection his wife was killed in a freak accident at the
  31. edge
  32. of the Neutral Zone.  He was left with two children Renna (16) and Jeral (14).
  33.  
  34. I don't know how my new crew will react with a Romulan on board, one of my
  35. bridge crew is a Klingon (Lt. Commander Shevaa) and she will probably not take
  36. likely to him. And as for Lt. Commander Javvic of engineering, well he is
  37. Vulcan and
  38. knows Dolean is the "logical" choice for first officer.

  40. At the helm I have Ensign Kris Nerrian, he is human and is from Omicron Theta,
  41. his parents were killed by the Crystalline Entity just before he was 8 years
  42. old. Now
  43. he is 19 and following in his fathers footsteps... Kris just graduated from the
  44. academy.
  45.  
  46. At the con I have Lt. Paul Walter, a fine man he has served with me for 7
  47. years. I
  48. met him when I was first officer of the Kirkovan, he has be with me ever since.
  49. Kramer out...
  50.  
  51. "Ensign, what is our ETA to starbase 443" said Kramer.
  52. "At our present speed, warp 4, we will arrive in 1 hour 31 minutes."
  53. "Increase to warp 6." Commanded Kramer.

  55. Lt. Commander Shevaa came off the turbo lift and headed straight to Kramer.
  56. "So captain I read up on Commander Dolean, I understand he is Romulan"
  57.  
  58. "Yes, a defected Romulan who joined Starfleet." Kramer replied.
  59.  
  60. "Sir, are you sure this is right man for the job, most Romulans cannot be
  61. trusted!"
  62. Said Shevaa, with an angry look.

  64. "In my readyroom NOW Lt. Shevaa" Kramer commanded.
  65.  
  66. Kramer went in first and sat down at his desk and Shevaa came in right behind
  67. him
  68. and stood at attention.

  70. Kramer started in with a lecture...
  71. "First of all don't ever my choice or my orders on my own bridge. Second
  72. Commander Dolean is your superior officer and has served Starfleet longer then
  73. most on this ship, He is a fine officer and deserves the same respect you would
  74. give
  75. to another superior. Weather he is Romulan or not he is the First Officer...
  76. Understood!"

  78. "Yes sir...I apologize for the outbreak on the bridge and it will not happen
  79. again.
  80. And I will cooperate with Commander Dolean..." Said Shevaa obediently...

  82. Kramer said bluntly "Dismissed Lieutenant!"

  84. "Yes sir!"
  85.  
  86. As Shevaa walks out she thinks about how Romulans abducted and killed her
  87. father,
  88. former governor of a Klingon outpost... Kramer leans back in his chair as
  89. Starbase
  90. 443 comes into view through the window...
  91.  
  92. Minutes later Ensign Nerrian voice comes on "Captain we have arrived at Starbase
  93. 443"

  95. Kramer hits his badge "Acknowledge."

  97. As Kramer comes out of his readyroom he takes his seat at the captain's chair.

  99. "Shevaa open a channel." Kramer commanded.
  100.  
  101. "Channel open. Audio only." She replied.
  102.  
  103. "This is Captain Greg Kramer of the USS Tristar, We are here to pick up
  104. Commander Daren Dolean."
  105.  
  106. A voice comes over the speaker "Hello Captain I am Lt. Stillwell, we have been
  107. waiting. Sir I am sorry about not having visual our systems are offline, due to
  108. some
  109. restructuring. The station Commander would be here to greet you but he was need
  110. down in engineering."

  112. "No problem. Is Commander Dolean ready to beam aboard?" Said Kramer.
  113.  
  114. "Yes sir, He and is children are going to the transporteroom now."
  115.  
  116. "Very well."
  117. "Close channel." Said Kramer.

  119. "Channel closed."
  120.  
  121. Kramer heads over to the turbo lift saying "Shevaa you are with me. Paul you
  122. have
  123. the bridge." Shevaa leaves her post and Lt. Walter takes the bridge. The
  124. captain hits
  125. his badge and says "Kramer to Javicc please meet me in transporteroom 2 to meet
  126. Commander Dolean." Javicc's voice comes on "Aye sir."

  128. A few minutes later in the transporter room Captain Kramer, Lt. Commander
  129. Javicc,
  130. and Lt. Commander Shevaa await Commander Dolean's arrival...
  131.  
  132. "Ensign Green. Energize." Said Commander Shevaa.
  133.  
  134. "Energizing, sir." Green replied.
  135.  
  136. Within seconds the pad has Commander Dolean and his two Children.

  138. "Ahhh. Commander Dolean, what a pleasure to meet you." Kramer said.
  139.  
  140. "No sir the pleasure is all mine. Sir these are my children Renna and Jeral."
  141.  
  142. Kramer looking to the kids "Hello there welcome aboard."
  143.  
  144. Jeral spoke up. "Thank you sir. It is great to be here, I have never been on a
  145. Nebula
  146. Class starship before."
  147.  
  148. "Oh yeah, great to be here." Renna said sarcastically.
  149.  
  150. Dolean stunned by his daughter "Sir would you excuse my daughter she is not
  151. exactly
  152. excited about moving away from the starbase."
  153.  
  154. "Oh, well she will learn to enjoy it. Anyway this is my chief of security Lt.
  155. Commander Shevaa, and the chief of engineering Lt. Commander Javicc."
  156.  
  157. Javicc "Welcome aboard I am looking forward to serving with you."
  158.  
  159. "I as well." Replies Dolean.
  160.  
  161. "A Klingon, I thought the only Klingon in Starfleet was Lt. Worf of the
  162. Enterprise."
  163. Exclaimed Dolean.
  164.  
  165. "Well sir, I was an informant for Starfleet, you know very discreetly." Shevaa
  166. said.
  167.  
  168. "Ohh. A spy." Chuckled Dolean.
  169.  
  170. "Not exactly." while grinning.

  172. "Well let Ensign Green show you to your quarters." Interrupted Kramer.

  174. "Yes sir." Dolean said.

  176. They all follow Kramer out of the room with Shevaa taking up the back.
